Our founding concept is SmartCart – an inclusive shopping trolley designed to support people with visual impairments specifically in those areas where they have previously had to rely on assistance from others in their daily lives. To achieve this, SmartCart combines intelligent obstacle detection, automatic product recognition and precise indoor navigation within a single system.
Our aim is to actively support an often-overlooked minority in our society and to enable those affected to enjoy the same freedoms and autonomy in their daily shopping as everyone else.
What are your biggest challenges at the moment?
Our biggest challenges at the moment lie in refining the prototype from a technical perspective and in validating the viability of our business model. We are also working hard on drawing up a detailed financial plan to ensure the project is built on a solid financial foundation.
What is your goal for the duration of the EXIST-Women programme?
My goal for the EXIST Women programme is to meet inspiring female founders who will motivate me on my journey and to learn from the valuable experiences of others. Furthermore, I would like to use the programme to strategically develop our start-up idea further, optimise the business model in a targeted manner and establish important contacts with potential partners and mentors in the start-up scene.
