Our founding vision arose from the daily challenge of efficiently processing vast amounts of data in science and industry. In many forward-looking fields – particularly in AI research and biotechnology – conventional computing solutions are increasingly reaching their limits. The consequences are excessively long processing times, immense energy consumption and a lack of flexibility in the systems.

With Qompute Edge, we are developing a novel, perfectly integrated software-hardware solution that significantly increases the processing speed for complex algorithms whilst drastically reducing energy consumption. Our technology enables both AI-based and classical algorithms to be executed directly on specialised hardware, making data-intensive computations noticeably faster and more efficient.

The idea stems from our own experience in research, where we generated large amounts of data on a daily basis but were unable to analyse it quickly enough. Our aim is to provide scientists, researchers and businesses with a powerful tool that massively accelerates their work whilst making it more sustainable.

What are your biggest challenges at the moment?

Our biggest challenges at present lie in identifying the optimal market segment for our product and in systematically building up a network of experts and support.

As our technology has an extremely broad range of applications, it is of strategic importance for us to identify the most promising areas of application where our computing accelerator delivers the immediate and greatest added value. At the same time, we are seeking intensive dialogue with experienced professionals from the fields of hardware development, high-performance computing (HPC) and business development to further optimise our product and validate our business model. Through access to suitable innovation centres and mentors, we aim to successfully achieve these milestones.

What is your goal for the duration of the EXIST-Women programme?

During the EXIST-Women programme, my main goal is to precisely refine our market strategy and lay the strategic foundations for our deep-tech start-up. Validating the right market segment for our computing engine is our top priority. With the support of mentoring, I want to thoroughly examine our target applications, particularly in biotechnology and healthcare.

I also aim to consistently develop my own entrepreneurial skills to gain deeper insights into business strategies, funding options and scaling approaches. Building a strong network within the start-up ecosystem will help us establish the right contacts with potential partners, investors and customers at an early stage.
