WannaTry is a platform that allows users to book creative workshops flexibly and without any long-term commitments. The idea originated in Mr Högsdal’s Entrepreneurship module and is based on my own personal story. Even as a child, I tried out numerous hobbies – from karate and dancing to music and sport. I always really enjoyed this variety of activities and the chance to make new friends.

As an adult in a new city, however, daily life changes significantly: your circle of friends shrinks, working hours get longer, and there’s hardly any time left for regular club activities. Nevertheless, there’s still a need to try out new creative pursuits and meet like-minded people without having to commit to a contract straight away.

With WannaTry, I want to fill precisely this gap. Our platform offers the chance to book creative workshops whenever the mood takes you. This allows users to rediscover their hobbies flexibly, be creative and, at the same time, find a balance to their stressful everyday lives. The service is aimed at anyone who would like to try something new but doesn’t have time for rigid, long-term commitments.

What are your biggest challenges at the moment?

The biggest challenge at the moment is building a dedicated team that shares our vision and is willing to invest time and energy in developing WannaTry further. We are also working on developing a functional prototype that precisely meets the needs of our target audience and has the potential to scale in the long term.

Alongside team building, developing a viable business model is a key task. We need to develop a clear monetisation strategy that is attractive to both workshop providers and users. Striking a balance between innovation, intuitive user-friendliness and commercial success requires continuous testing and refinement. All these milestones must be achieved alongside my studies and other commitments, which makes driving the project forward even more challenging.

What is your goal for the duration of the EXIST-Women programme?

My goal during the EXIST-Women programme is to learn strategically from experts in order to scale our business model optimally and take the next steps towards bringing WannaTry to market. I want to seek dialogue with experienced mentors to benefit from their practical experience. I also aim to complete a working prototype and test it in real-world scenarios directly with the target audience.

Another key goal is to build partnerships with local workshop providers and launch initial pilot projects to gauge market acceptance. At the same time, I want to develop a sustainable, stable business model. I am ready to give my all to maximise our project’s chances of success and establish a long-term solution for flexible leisure activities.
