NexVocab is developing an innovative, AI-powered platform for vocational language learning, designed to significantly accelerate the long-term professional integration of international skilled workers.

Unlike traditional language learning apps, our focus is not on general everyday phrases, but on the highly specific linguistic requirements of real-world professional life – for example, in the healthcare, technology or business sectors. The platform uses advanced AI-based methods to automatically and efficiently generate subject-specific learning content, precisely analyse individual language gaps and provide personalised, adaptive learning pathways. As a result, international talent gains the linguistic confidence required for professional communication and successful integration into the German workplace much more quickly.

A particular focus of the software architecture is on seamless data protection, maximum traceability (Explainable AI) and a long-term scalable infrastructure for educational institutions, businesses and public bodies. NexVocab is currently in the concept and validation phase and is tailoring the product specifically to the needs of future users and B2B partners.

What are your biggest challenges at the moment?

My biggest challenge at the moment is to strategically develop the NexVocab concept whilst, at the same time, accurately validating the core needs of our market. As the project is still in its early stages, the focus is currently very much on gathering qualified user feedback and establishing a razor-sharp market positioning.

Another hurdle is the personal shift in perspective away from purely technical issues towards core entrepreneurial tasks – particularly in the areas of business model design, market access strategy (go-to-market) and structured business development. The key here is to strike the perfect balance between iterative product development and a deep understanding of the market. Alongside this, I am actively driving the development of a robust network of mentors, industry experts and strategic partners.

What is your goal for the EXIST-Women programme?

My primary goal during the EXIST-Women programme is to bring NexVocab to market readiness and validate the business idea in a real-world setting. Through intensive dialogue, I aim to gain an even better understanding of potential users, establish initial solid contacts with pilot customers and refine our monetisation model.

I will also use this time to specifically develop my own entrepreneurial leadership skills and lay the strategic foundations for securing seamless follow-on funding – such as further start-up funding – afterwards.
